When you edit a pre-published draft or published page in the Content Management System (CMS), a banner will display at the top of the editing workflow. The banner reads, 'This content is now locked against simultaneous editing. This content will remain locked if you navigate away from this page without saving or unlocking it.' The function exists to prevent more than one user from editing a page at once.

You will know that the page is locked if you see a padlock symbol in the content listing.

Once you click into the page, a warning will appear which reads ‘Do you want to break this lock?'. Contact the person who has the page locked via a Microsoft Teams message and ask if you can break their lock.

Click Unlock, then Confirm break lock.
