When you see a page that has 'Live - Published' in the top right hand corner, you're seeing what a visitor to the webpage would see.
To edit a live page, follow these steps:
- Depending on the content type you're editing:
- click on Layout to edit a landing page, or
- click on Edit content to edit a standard page.
- Make your changes to the page.
- Scroll to the top and click Save Layout if you're editing a landing page, or Save at the bottom of a standard page.
- By doing this, the page status will change from Live - Published to Editing in Progress.
- Push your new edit draft through the publishing workflows (Needs approval, Approved, Published). You should briefly describe the changes you made in the 'custom log message' field to help other editors know what changes were made when the page's revision history is viewed.
- Once the page is published, it will replace the current live version.
Note: while you are editing the page, the Live - Published page still exists for the end user. The page will not change until you publish the new version.
