All content on nsw.gov.au is required to have topic tags added to help people find the content they're looking for faster. Editors must add at least 1 topic tag that's relevant to their content, but can add multiple topic tags.
How to add a topic tag
When creating your new content go to the 'Tags' tab and select an appropriate topic or selection of topics from the drop down to tag your content.
When you're editing existing content that has not yet been tagged for a topic, you'll need to select a topic or topics before you can save your page so that your content is up to date.
Available topic tags for selection
The table here shows all the possible 'Topic' tags available. You should select the most relevant topic tag for your content. Put yourself in the position of the user and think, "if I was searching for this content, which topic would I most likely search under?".
Sub-topics can be found in the 'Category' tag field. 'Category' tags are optional, but can be used to further identify and filter content.
