Archiving a webform

Archiving webforms that are not in use is an important step in the webform lifecycle.

When a webform is no longer in use, it needs to be taken off the published page, and archived. This then completes the process. It also triggers an audit for the Platform team to examine it, store the data out of the Content Management System (CMS) and purge the data in the CMS. This reduces our platform storage, speeds it up and reduces any risk from hacking.

To archive a webform:

  1. Navigate to Structure > Webforms > Forms and locate your webform by typing its name into the search.
  2. Click Settings and scroll down to the checkbox Archive this webform
