You can configure the buttons on a webform to guide customers through the form. The following buttons can be configured:
- Next: Allow the customer to move to the next page of the form
- Back: Allow the customer to move to the previous page of the form
- Preview: Allows the customer to review their responses in a form summary page
- Submit: Allow the customer to submit the form
When you should use form buttons
- When the form has multiple pages
- When the customer should review their answers before they submit the form
When you should avoid using form buttons
- When the form fits into a single page - just a submit button will suffice
Guidelines
Do:
- Use clear and consistent labels for the buttons
Don't:
- Hide buttons that are helpful to the customer
Configuring form buttons
To show or hide buttons on the webform:
- Navigate to Structure > Webforms > Forms and locate your webform by typing its name into the search.
- Open your webform and navigate to the Submit(s) button at the end of the webform
- Select the Edit button to open the Edit Submit button(s) element form
Configuring the back button
In the Wizard back button section:
- Hide Wizard back button: Check the checkbox to hide the button, or leave it unchecked to show the button
Note that the label for this button is set to '< Back'. This is not configurable to ensure the call to action is consistent across all forms on the site.
Configuring the next button
In the Wizard next button section:
- Hide Wizard next button: Check the checkbox to hide the button, or leave it unchecked to show the button

Configuring the form summary page button
In the Preview previous button section:
- Hide preview previous button: Check the checkbox to hide the button, or leave it unchecked to show the button

In the Preview next button section:
- Hide preview next button: Check the checkbox to hide the button, or leave it unchecked to show the button

Configuring the submit button
In the Submit button section:
- Hide submit button: Always leave this unchecked so the customer can submit the form
- Submit button label: The text that is shown on the button
