A confirmation page reassures customers that their form has been successfully submitted and provides an opportunity to communicate the next steps, setting clear expectations for what will happen next.
When you should use a confirmation page
- For long or complex forms to reassure customers that the form has been submitted and completed
- To communicate any next steps and instructions that a customer needs to be aware of
When you should avoid using a confirmation page
- For simple or quick forms where the outcome is clear and self-explanatory
- If there is no additional action required from the customer
Guidelines
Do:
- Clearly outline what customers can expect to happen next, such as processing time and if any additional action is required
- Offer reassurance so customers are confident that their submission was successful and has been received
Don't:
- Overwhelm the user with unnecessary details or instructions
- Don't over complicate the information - avoid long paragraphs and complicated wording, keeping the focus on confirming the submission and the next steps

Show / Hide back to form link
For the confirmation page, there is an option to show/hide the link to go back to the beginning of the form. The link is shown by default, however if you want to hide the link, go to Settings > Confirmation, and then uncheck Display back to webform link.
