Use Key dates to feature important dates. It creates a visual focus for events and other instances.
Using Key dates
Do
- Use the Key dates component on landing pages to highlight a single date or start and end dates for one or more events.
Don't
- Do not use for listing numerous dates.
Adding Key dates on a landing page
- Click Add section, select Full and click the Add section button. The key dates component can also be used on the Halves section type.
- Click Add block.
- Select Create content block.
- Scroll down to Featured content and select Key dates.
- Enter a title for the event in the Headline field. The event title will show as a H2 heading above the dates.
- Use the Link field to enter a hyperlink for more information about the event.
- Add descriptive information in the Summary field.
- Scroll down to Dates.
- Enter a Title.
- Enter a date range, or use the same Start date and End date for a single date.
- If the event occurs on more that one date, click Add Key Date Item and enter the Title and Start date and End date (just as in steps 9 and 10).
- Click Add block.
