Before you start

Automated grants can only be added to landing pages, not standard pages.

When adding this component, filter options all come from the Tag fields applied to the grant. Check the tags that have been applied to the grants you want displayed in your Automated grants component. If you're unsure of the tags, see the grants template editing guide.

Using Automated grants

Do

  • Use Automated grants as a visual feature on landing pages.
  • Continue to monitor that the correct grants are being populated over time.
  • Use appropriate images in grants that will feature in the Automated grants component.

How to add Automated grants to your landing page

Go to:

  1. The Layout screen and click Add block.
  2. Select + Create content block and click on Automated grants. The Configure block screen will open.
  3. Add a heading for the grants section in the Grant section title field or use the default text. This will display as an H2 on the page at the top of the grants section.
  4. Select how you want your grants to be filtered. When you start typing in one of the fields, a dropdown of options will appear for you to select from. You can choose one or multiple options to filter by. If adding more than one, see Adding multiple filters.

    Filter options include:

    • Topic
    • Agency
    • Category.

The filter options all come from the Tag fields in the grant template. How you have tagged your individual grants will provide the tags that are available for you to use in the Automated grants component.

If you are unsure about grant tags see the grants template editing guide.

  5. After you have selected how you want your grants to be filtered, scroll down and choose to show grants:
    • with image
    • with summary text
    • that are open for applications.
  6. Click the Add block button.

Adding multiple filters

Multiple filters selected in the same filter category

You can add multiple items within a single filter category, for example, the Topic field. There are 5 empty fields below each filter heading. If you are adding multiple filters within the same field then articles with either tag will display.

For example, if in the Topic field you select Arts and culture in the first field and Business in the second field, grants will be displayed for both topics. If there are 10 grants tagged with Arts and culture and 5 articles tagged with Business then your Automated grants will show a 15 grants in the scrolling carousel.

Multiple filters selected in different filter categories

If you add multiple filters in different filter categories, for example, the Agency and the Topic filter categories, then only grants that are tagged with both tags will appear. Grants tagged with only one of the filter categories will not display.
