Adding a custom block on a landing page

Landing pages are built through a combination of sections and custom blocks. Follow the below steps to learn how to add a custom block on your nsw.gov.au landing page.

Adding a block on a landing page

  1. Add in a section to the landing page
    Navigate to Adding a custom block on a landing page for instructions on how to do this

  2. Click on 'Add block'

  3. On the right-hand menu, click on 'Create content block'


  4. Select what block you want to use.

  5. Fill in the fields for the block as necessary with the required content.

  6. Once finished, click on 'Add block'.


 

How to update an existing block

Hover over the block until a pencil icon on the top-right appears.

Click on the pencil icon.

  • 'Configure' will re-open the block editor window.

  • 'Move' will allow you to move the block to another block space in the section. This can also be done by click-holding the block with your left mouse key and dragging the block within the section.

  • 'Remove block' will remove the block from the section.
