The NSW Government Social Media team provides advice and resources for social media practitioners working for NSW Government agencies.
Our aim is to engage with customers better with topics that matter to them.
Our channels
Our channels serve as a central place for NSW government communications. They are a trusted source of information for NSW customers.
Our approach is to showcase news from departments across NSW Government, collaborating with agencies to produce engaging platform-specific content that is relevant to the audience.
Facebook – Audience is general population, with a focus on those aged 25 to 64. It has multicultural, metro, regional and rural targeting opportunities.
Instagram – Audience is youth based - Gen Y (born 1981-1996) and Gen Z (born 1997-2012), digital natives with high expectations.
LinkedIn – Audience works in government administration and are interested in government updates. Targeting options are available for specific industries and businesses.
